Dr. Grether, a highly experienced psychologist mediator and facilitator, specializes in working with clients who may have a continuing relationship or future contact. This occurs in divorce with children, parenting and child custody, elder care family conflicts, inheritance disputes, and family business disagreements. Dr. Grether serves San Diego, Orange & Riverside Counties and provides nationwide online video mediation services.
Craig B. Grether, Ph.D. has been a licensed clinical psychologist for 46 years and a mediator for 30 years. He has extensive experience and expertise in working with family matters involving divorce, child custody, elder care, inheritance and family businesses. He is licensed in California and Maryland (inactive), a registered Legal Document Assistant (f.k.a. Independent Paralegal), and serves on the High Conflict Case Management Panel in San Diego County. Dr. Grether is also a Past President of the Collaborative Family Law Group of San Diego.
Dr. Grether has provided mediation services since 1979. He has resolved conflicts in over 500 cases involving divorce, child custody disputes, parenting coordination, elder care issues, inheritance disputes, and family businesses problems. He is a Qualified Neutral under the California Dispute Resolution Programs Act.

Dr. Grether believes that conflicts resolve once solutions that recognize and meet underlying client needs are developed. Rapport and trust builds as each person realizes his or her concerns are seriously heard and understood. A detailed examination of all issues is performed. Creative solutions are then found for the most difficult problems.
Mediation services are provided for $300 per hour. A sliding fee scale is offered for clients with financial concerns.
Professional affiliations include: American Psychology-Law Society of the American Psychological Association, and the National Care Planning Council. Dr. Grether has received numerous awards including the Governor presented Partnership Award from the Coalition of Geriatric Services of Maryland, a Public Health Service Fellowship award, and has served as President and Board member of the Collaborative Family Law Group of San Diego, and as Board Member of the Maryland Assisted Living Association.
